AKWESASNE, NY – After the fourth rain out of 2017, the top stars at Mohawk International Raceway are even more determined to get back out there and battle for the win.
Drivers were set and ready to get it done last Friday before Mother Nature brought rain to the speedway early in the day. With more bad weather on the way, Mohawk officials decided it ould be best to wait 1 more week for racing action.
This weekend G&R Auto Parts will be on hand as the 358 Modifieds, Sportsman, Novice Sportsman, Mod Lites and Bandits will all be back for a full program.
With only 3 events in the 358 Modified competition Tim Fuller has shown how strong he has been this season by claiming 2 of the season’s 3 events, with Modified sophomore Corey Wheeler picking up the victory only two weeks ago. Other drivers have had strong runs including Billy Dunn who, like Fuller, has been in the top 5 all 3 events including back to back runner up finishes to start the season. Chris Raabe, Brian McDonald and Danny Johnson will all be back up on the wheel to challenge as well, as the 2017 season for the Modified’s moves forward.
