More Laps Means More Cash For 358 Modified Drivers In 2015

The brand new season is right around the corner at Mohawk International Raceway and the management have some great things in store for this year's 358 Modified field.

More laps and more money should make things very interesting on May. 15 when MIR opens the gates for the first race of 2015.

With a significant increase in the weekly purse for the 358 Modifieds the feature winner will take home a top prize of $1400.

With a strong field on a weekly basis, drivers like 3 time defending track champion Billy Dunn, Chris Raabe, Carey Terrance, Danny O'Brien, Brian "Slim" McDonald and Tim Fuller, who will call Mohawk his Friday night home this season,  will all be up on the wheel and going for it all which should make for one of, if not, the most competitive season in the history of MIR.

An increase in purse also prompted the staff and management to decide on changing the distance from 25 lap events to 30 lap feature races. With this change it will provide 5 extra laps of some of the best and competitive 358 modified racing, something our great race fans are looking forward to this season.
